Wine Spectator – 90
Nicely balances freshness with a touch of maturity, offering notes of apple skin, cinnamon spice and toasted nut.

The NV Flaunt from Dianna Novy Lee is one of the finest Sparkling wines I’ve tasted from California. A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that spent three years on lees before being disgorged in July 2017, it offers a rich bouquet of ripe stone fruit and green apples, with more brioche and toasted, nutty notes developing with time in the glass. With ample depth on the palate, bright, integrated acidity, and a creamy texture, it’s a classy sparkler and a great first release from this estate. Bravo!

This is winemaker Dianna Novy Lee’s debut sparkling wine, blending 56% Chardonnay and 44% Pinot Noir and then aging the wine on the lees for three years before release. It impresses from first sip, showing acid-driven raciness and a core of green apple, lime zest and biscuit flavors that linger. It’ll serve well as a delicious aperitif or fitting companion for the table.
